When you think of St Kilda in the summertime, you think of beaches, skating, eating and drinking outdoors, ice cream and gelato and, of course, Festivals! And whether it’s music, beer, health & fitness, dancing, and more, we have something for everyone!
Best of all, we’ve made it easy this year and pulled together a list of all on offer including, when, where and, most importantly, how much (note: a lot is free!). Read on for all the fun you can have in our exciting precinct and we hope to see you in St Kilda!

Midsumma Pride March

Parade, pride and party come together once a year in Melbourne’s iconic march celebrating solidarity in gender and sexuality diversity.
Join over 53,000 people to celebrate Midsumma Pride March! Bring your friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate our diversity together in this day-long event as we strut down Fitzroy Street with ferocity, uniqueness, and diversity with the ones we love.
You’ll be greeted at the end of the march with free entertainment, and festivities, including DJs and live performances by the iconic St Kilda beachside.

Summer Jam Basketball Festival Championship

The summer streetball festival is back for its 13th season. In 2025, we will witness teams from around the world competing right here in Australia.
For the first time, these teams will compete for a chance to come to Melbourne and challenge for the Summer Jam World Championship.
It’s a celebration of the basketball culture in Australia, offering the best elements of a summer block party, featuring special guest appearances. More details coming soon.

Join Australia’s most-beloved, free celebration of summer and local music, set against the spectacular natural beauty of the St Kilda foreshore.
Since the first St Kilda Festival in 1980, this well-loved annual summer celebration has established itself as an iconic event that brings the community together.
In 2023 we introduced a new two-day format, which was a huge success in its inaugural year, attracting more than 375,000 live music lovers over the fun-filled weekend.
In 2024, we saw more incredible artists, big crowds, and summer celebrations over two magical days in February.
We can’t wait for a mammoth festival again in 2025!

St Kilda Blues Festival

Now in it’s sixth year the St Kilda Blues festival is the brainchild of blues fans and hospitality experts, Gavan and Sonya Breen who wanted to provide “A free weekend celebrating the spirit of the blues, the music and all things blues. Music everywhere for everybody.”
With weeping guitars and harps and basses. Musical styles encompass slide, fingerpicking, folk, punk, alt blues country blues, a broadening of appeal across the board to attract a wider audience. The tunes emanate from every corner of the historic downtown St Kilda.

Morning After Agency is proud to bring Guy J’s ‘We Are Lost Festival’ to Melbourne for the very first time!
Being held at the iconic outdoor location on St.Kilda Beach at South Beach Reserve, Saturday March 1st will be a day to remember!
Featuring an All Star line up from Guy’s Lost & Found Record label, you can catch Guy J, Patrice Bäumel, Khen and Jamie Stevens in what promises to be a day of magic! The We Are Lost Festival locations are carefully chosen by Guy’s team and we feel very fortunate to have this iconic label and it’s festival here in Melbourne in 2025!

Get ready for a groundbreaking celebration of music, empowerment, and community as ROAR FEST – Celebrating Women in Music takes centre stage on the 2025 Labour Day long weekend, March 8–9, in Melbourne’s historical musical heart in bayside St Kilda.
The Festival will culminate in a headline concert at the historic National Theatre on Sunday 9th March, 2025, featuring some of Australia’s most legendary female performers.

Welcome to the 6th annual St Patrick’s Festival St Kilda! This year, we’re thrilled to announce we will continue to expand to a two-day format, promising even more entertainment and fun for everyone.
Day one kicks off with a special focus on families, offering a free event in collaboration with Not for Profit organisations.
Day two is where the magic continues with a ticketed live music festival featuring a stellar lineup of both local and regional Victorian and international artists across diverse genres.
At its heart, the St Kilda St Patrick’s Festival is a vibrant celebration of live music and the rich tapestry of the Victorian music community. From Irish folk to Country genre, our festival showcases original works and nurtures emerging talents alongside established acts.
