The fire ravaged regions of North East Victoria and Gippsland are bringing their wares to Melbourne courtesy of support from the City of Port Phillip’s Placemakers, VTIC, Optus, Origin, Bliss Search, Accommodation Association and 15 of their member hotels, Instant Retail, Linfox, Highlight, Officeworks, Exhibition Equipment Hire and the Government of Victoria.

Retail & Hospitality Comeback Shops are open 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturdays and Sundays from 29 February to 26 April 2020 at 54 Fitzroy Street (The Saint) and opposite at 107 Fitzroy Street (The Thomas), St Kilda.

Fitzroy Street St Kilda is the perfect location to welcome back so many regional people and businesses, because historically, Fitzroy Street with its wonderful old Mansion Flats and hotels was the desired location for country Victoria from before the turn of the last Century right through to the early 1950s.

Fitzroy Street has also always welcomed people who were looking for a ‘Place’, a place to live, a place to begin their life in Australia and of course a place to be yourself.

This Christmas and early summer saw a giant part of Australia burn, with loss of lives, homes, livestock and memories; the communities of The High Country and Gippsland were devastated.

The Fitzroy Street Comeback is a way to say we care, we are here to help, and we know that our Port Phillip community and the broader Melbourne community will be there for the next two months to shop, taste and buy wines, cheeses, handmade sweets and all the other amazing merchandise that will be available.

Thank you to the incredible sponsors who have made this possible, Chris, Manny, Charlotte and Russell our wonderful and generous landlords, donations from businesses including Optus, Origin, Bliss Search, Highlight, Accommodation Association, Instant Retail, Linfox, Exhibition Equipment Hire and Officeworks.

And to those who have been effected in any way by the dreadful bush fires, we say, let this be the beginning of a much better year ahead.

Read the media release here.

Our traders:

Abide (Pictured: Madeline Slattery 9 News at Comeback shop launch)

WINE | CHEESE | BREAD | CHARCUTERIE | ART | HOMEWARES | ACCOMMODATION | EXPERIENCES The fire ravaged regions of North East Victoria and Gippsland are bringing their wares […]

[1
25,35,91,92,93,28,94,95,96,97,60,98
