St Kilda Blues Festival

        St Kilda Blues Festival 2021

“Live music is in St Kilda’s DNA – so the Blues Festival is a great way of supporting local venues and musicians…” Mayor Louise Crawford said.

The 2021 Festival is returning to the venues and streets of St Kilda after being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will feature a diverse range of blues artists including Geoff Achison and The Blues Club Revival, Anna Scionti, Sweet Felicia and The Honey Tones, Andy Baylor, Hugo Race, Opelousas, Charlie Bedford and more.

The brainchild of the former The Dogs Bar owners Sonya and Gavan Breen, the jam-packed Festival will showcase over 40 acts across more than 20 St Kilda venues from April 9 to 11.

The Festival zone encompasses Acland and Fitzroy streets, Jacka Boulevard and The Esplanade, and will include Street Swamp, a New Orleans second line style parade with the Hoodoo Mayhem Brass Band on Saturday and Sunday.

Apart from the parade and blues buskers, the event is venue-based. This means music lovers can easily stroll from one venue to another to enjoy their favourite performers and discover new acts.

Supported by the City of Port Phillip and The Fitzroy Street Business Association, the Festival has a true local vibe and is guaranteed free fun for all the family.
