Two live looping artists battling it out in an epic loops-of-the-century fight to the death! Incorporating your favourite repertoire from contemporary artists such as Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran, to the classics of Toto and Phil Collins, you won’t believe what these two young musicians can achieve!

With two keyboards, looping pedals, vocal effects and beat boxing, this duo will transform your understanding of live looping with the sheer magnitude of their soundscape.

Throwing some humour and friendly competition into the mix, this show is sure to entertain even the toughest critics of live looping, revitalising and giving a new twist to a style of performance that has been growing increasingly stale in Melbourne’s pubs and bars.

Our Team!

Experienced harmony singers and capable pianists, these accomplished musicians have taken live looping to an entirely new level. You won’t believe it is all 100% live.

Frankie Jay

Frankie has a dark and mysterious background in classical music, having studied classical voice and piano at a tertiary level, she has since escaped her evil overlords and ventured onto the righteous path of contemporary and pop. She thinks of herself as a female Ed Sheeran, but with a keyboard (minus the song writing talent, but hey! she’s got red hair), and uses her training for good, instead of evil; harnessing her knowledge of harmony and texture to create only the sickest of loops.

Having a background in choral conducting and A Cappella singing, Frankie has a huge love of face-melting vocal harmonies and enjoys influences from pretty much every genre. However, if you force her to listen to country and western, she will tell you to take a long walk off of a short pier.

Jake Alexander

Combining the virtuosic piano skills of Ringo Starr with the irrepressible wit of a constipated orangutan, Jake Alexander uses his mouth not only to sing and tell bad jokes, but to produce sounds that are beyond comprehension. Using his vocal drum kit to its fullest extent, Jake’s loops take on a life of their own. With his buddies Roland the keyboard, Mac the computer and Cody the vocoder by his side, Jake redefines the concept of ‘one-man band’.
