Father’s Day Car & Bike Show
01 Sep, 2019 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Father’s Day is the perfect time to gather the family for a day trip to St Kilda. And if your Dad is a car or bike enthusiast and you want to impress him this year, the 6th annual Father’s Day Car and Bike Show is on. But it’s not only for the big kids. This car show is for the whole family.
So why spend Dad’s big day at the Father’s Day Car and Bike Show? The recently renovated O’Donnell Gardens and Acland Street will transform into every car lover’s dream, from a formula one car display to drag car fire ups to movie car displays. And that’s not all. There will be bands, kid’s rides, giveaways and much more.
The area will be closed to traffic on the day to create a free flow of foot traffic, easy access, and a safe area for children.
What you’ll see
This years’ event will showcase classic cars, hot rods, and streetcars. You’ll find some of Melbourne’s toughest streetcars in display in Acland Street for you to admire. The Car Show has attracted some of the most standout cars in Australia and this year won’t be any different. And guess what? You can admire them up close and personal, chat to experts, and be surrounded by other car lovers, all for free!
Entertainment for the Family
There will be two Melbourne bands showcasing at this years’ event. The Mighty Kings, a rockin’ rockabilly band, and Cadillac Drifters, a 1950’s style rock n’ roll band. They’ll both be performing on the Acland St Main Stage. DJ Lou will be mixing it up at O’Donnell Gardens.
Transformers will be roaming in Acland St and putting on a show from 12.00 pm – 3.00 pm. So, keep an eye out for them for free photo opportunities!
What’s on offer?
On the day there will be, other than the amazing cars and bikes on display, awards presented for cars & bikes, and promo girls. There will be carnival rides, free face painting, and giveaways. So, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for free giveaways for your Dad!
You’re in the heart of St Kilda’s so you’ll find shopping, cafes, restaurants, bars, and of course, the famous cake shops. Luna Park is a few metres away, where the kids can enjoy rollercoasters, merry-go-rounds, and much more.
There are endless activities to make Fathers’ Day a great day, so head down to the Father’s Day Car Show, fun for the entire family.
